This is a discussion board for those who have experienced A Heartbreaking Choice. Please note that ANYONE can view this part of the board as well as the AHC
Discussion Forum. For your privacy and security, please be cautious about what you post on the public portions of our board.
We offer private support forums where only approved members can view and post. If you wish to join these forums, please take the following
steps:
*Note - if you are in the process of going through this heartbreaking choice, please follow these same steps - we have a special forum for those that are in the "between your diagnosis, your decision to end your much-wanted pregnancy and your termination." stage.
Step One:
Register for a Yuku membership. It is free and takes only a couple of minutes. (If you seem to get stuck in a loop where it's requiring you to sign up for "free offers" you don't want, simply open
a new window and check your e-mail for your confirmation/password info. Once you have that, you can just close the "free offers" window and log in
with your info.)
NOTE: When you choose a screenname, please protect your privacy by using something other than your real name.
Step Two:
Drop a message in Katsac's or Ayliea's Inbox with a brief note about your AHC experience.
Please include the following REQUIRED information:
1.) The diagnosis that led to your decision
2.) Number of weeks gestation
3.) Date of termination
4.) Type of termination procedure
5.) First and last name of your genetics counselor, perinatalogist or other diagnosing professional.
Please include all of this information in your Step 2 Yuku mail message. If you do not wish to share this information, that is your right, but to be approved as a member here, we require this information. We do not make exceptions.
We reserve the right to ask you additional questions via private mail exchange if needed. Be assured that your privacy, and that of your caregiver,
is of utmost importance to us. We do not share your information. These steps are necessary to keep our board private and secure.
Following the message exchange, we will manually add your username to the Private - A Heartbreaking Choice Main Forum's allowed user
lists, and send a note to your inbox letting you know that you are in. (For security reasons, we never give out forum passwords.) This process some
times takes a little while, so please be patient and check back if you do not hear from us within 48 hours.
But before you can view and post at our private AHC forums, you must take Step Three.
Step Three:
Make a single post in one of our open forums. This will allow the Yuku system to recognize your username as a member of our board. Please click here and post a
"hello."
Step Three is required. Go ahead and make your Step Three post right after messaging Katsac, even if you've not heard back yet.
After taking these three steps, you should soon be able to open the main private forum from the board's mainpage.
If, after taking these steps you have any trouble entering the private forum, first check to be sure you are logged into the Yuku system.
